Ms. Sandy

Ms. Sandy graduated Summa Cum Laude from GA State University with a degree in Early Childhood Education after a 14 year retailing career with Rich's Department Store. She taught third grade for ten years and Gifted 1 - 5 for six years in Gwinnett County. Since retiring in 2010, she has volunteered at the CAC's Food Bank and in her two youngest granddaughters' classes. She enjoys gardening, yoga and traveling with her husband.

Ms. Fiorella

Ms. Fiorella was born in Lima, Peru, and at the age of 9 moved to Atlanta. She loves working with children of all ages, that's why she's a full time student at GSU majoring in ECE. She's bilingual (English-Spanish),  a self professed workaholic, and enjoys spending any free time with friends/ family, hiking, and outdoor adventures.

Ms. Misty

Ms. Misty has been nannying for nearly a decade, watching children from newborn to age 12. She nannied for a child with epilepsy and cared for her in the hospital. In partnership with TLC, Misty earned her CDA. She has a daughter that is a teenager (Eeek!). Besides teaching, she enjoys spending time with her family, dancing, reading, acro-yoga, and anything competitive!.

Why send preschool teachers across the globe for training?  

1.)  Other professions take training trips.  We believe educators deserve world class instruction, too.  

2.)  Our staff hails from around the globe, and so do our students.  

3.)  We're open to learning methods from other lands-- hometown doesn't have ALL the answers:)

Ms. Alexia

Ms. Alexia is our youngest staff member, a bilingual (Spanish-English) assistant teacher.  She loves reading books and takes a lot of selfies!:)  She is currently finishing school and in the future plans to obtain a Child Develoment Associate's degree.  She has no children herself, but loves all the little ones like they are her own!  And YES, she actually drew this amazing self portrait!

Ms. Masi

Ms. Masi is a bilingual (English-Farsi) assistant teacher who emigrated from Iran.  Overseas, she studied social work for adults with special needs.   She and her husband have a  young son who attends TLC!  She is currently enrolled in a program to earn her Child Development Associate's Degree.  Ms. Masi enjoys make-up, fashion and all things glittery and fabulous!

World Class Training

​​Ms. Lynn

Ms. Lynn is an Atlanta native, mom of three daughters, and attended DeKalb College for Art and Georgia State for psychology.  She loves working with children and seeing what makes them tick.   She also loves working at TLC because of we have the BEST children and parents!  Ms. Lynn's specialties include homemade falafel, idly, and anything sprinkled with organic garlic salt!  Also, she'll soon be a grandmother (!!!), so ask her about the cutie on the way.

Ms. Lorena

Ms. Lorena emigrated as a child from Peru and is one of our bilingual (English-Spanish) staff.  An assistant teacher, she is currently attending GSU to earn a nursing degree.  She is an AMAZING artist and extremely talented at drawing or sketching.  Be sure to ask Ms. Lorena about her two chihuahuas!

Ms. Genesis

Ms. Genesis was originally born in Washington, DC.  Her family relocated from Virginia to Atlanta.  She has a young daughter and son that keep her on the go!  She likes hiking, visiting Stone Mountain, and driving!!!  Good thing she lives in Atlanta with plenty of traffic to enjoy!

Ms. Nancy

Ms. Nancy likes to play "state bingo" with her family!  Raised in Sioux Falls, S.D. (Yes, it's very cold there!), Ms. Nancy graduated from South Dakota State with a B.S. in Apparel Merchandising.  Her family moved to Jacksonville, FL where she worked for the Duval County school system as a paraprofessional.  After settling in Atlanta,GA she worked as a preschool teacher at Second on Ponce until moving to TLC.  She has two teenage daughters with the youngest at Riverwood High School and oldest as a freshman at the Univ. of South Carolina.

Ms. Laura

An Atlanta native, Ms. Laura previously used her bilingual (English-Spanish) skills to work as a translator for hospitals and government agencies.  She's been at TLC for more than six years, meriting an anniversary trip to Melbourne, Australia to attend the Early Childhood Conference 'Beyond Tomorrow'.  She's married, has a young son, and is expecting twin daughters very soon!

Ms. Shannon

Ms. Shannon graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Secondary Education (English-Spanish). After subbing in public schools, she married and moved to Atlanta where she spent two years working for AmeriCorps (2nd and 5th grade). Later, she began teaching preschool in Dunwoody for almost a decade. She's been at TLC since 2008 and has the best job in the world:  Working with wee ones! She brings a wacky sense of humor, love of children, and enthusiasm for learning. Just don't ask her to cook anything!

Ms. Kristin

Raised in Boca Raton, Florida, Ms. Kristin graduated from the University of Alabama with a B.A. in Elementary Education.   She has held teaching positions as an assistant in the Tuscaloosa, Alabama Public School System and lead teacher (5th Grade) in the Dekalb County Georgia Public School System.  She is married with three children (1 son and 2 daughters).  Ms. Kristin enjoys running, hiking and spending time with her family.

TLC has a multi-tiered job application. To be a Legacy teacher, employees must meet TLC standards (interviews, peer performance reviews) and State of Georgia standards (extensive background checks, CPR-First Aid certification, and 10 hours of yearly continuing education classes). Though experienced, we consider ourselves "I DON'T know it alls" and are continually learning from our professional peers, families, and the best teachers of all, the children!

Mr. Eric

Mr. Eric is currently attending Kennesaw State Univ. for a degree in psychology.  He's worked as a camp counselor at  High Meadows, taught after school programs, tutored, and has worked with children for 8 years.  Perhaps best of all, he was a college intern at Disney's Magic Kingdom!  Mr. Eric loves country music, reading, tennis, his 3-D printer, and gluten-free dessert! 

Ms. Nikki

An Atlanta native, from a young age Ms. Nikki was involved in  sports, clubs, and after school activities.  She ran track and field and served as the Student Athletic Advisory Committee President.  She especially excelled at Judo, traveling internationally for competitions and at age 15 tried out for the U.S. Olympics Team!   Afterward, she began working at the Boys and Girls Club where she was awarded  Youth of the Year.  Graduating from Benedict College with a B.S. in Biology, she pursued her passions of exploring athletic abilities and science with students.

Ms. Itzel

Ms. Itzel earned her CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certificate in Alabama.  She moved to Atlanta to start a family and has a lively baby boy!  She likes jogging in Piedmont Park and spending time with her family.

Ms. Natalia

Natalia has been involved wtih kids her whole life!  She was inspired after working at her Mom's childcare in Colombia!  She came to the US as an au pair to learn a second language and learn about different cultures.  She finished the program and elected to stay as a nanny caring for newborns to school aged kids.  She has a CDA and Director's Certificate.  Did you know she was a professional skater when younger?  She loves hiking, sports, and dance.  She's very creative and likes crafts and projects with kids.  (And, if you ask us, she has great taste in handbags!)
